Apparently, poor kids are dumber than rich kids, and this is borne out neurologically.
The article has a few suggestions as to why, but they’re all related to the intellectually deprived environment in which poor kids live. Is there at least a possibility that there are some genetic reasons?
I don’t want to pull a Summers, but seriously, shouldn’t people be thinking about genetic linkages to brain function?
